IP-PDU 9108 Remote Power management

The IP-PDU allows an administrator to securely access the PDU from a remote terminal and interface with it to turn on or off outlets and control load by web and SNMP. Eight AC power outlets with total load monitoring.

The rack mount IP-PDU 9108 PDU controls eight (8) AC power outlets. The PDU can be securely controlled over the network using the web interface or SNMP.

The IP-PDU is an Internet ready device designed and is equipped with an intelligent current-meter (True RMS) that will indicate the total power consumption of a power strip.

The IP-PDU offers an easy set up and user-friendly communication software. This software provides the function that assistant manager to remotely monitor the multiple PDU power consumption to realize the total current power consumption and utilization for the enterprises.

Each outlet can supply up to 10 A at 250VAC, using standard IEC 320 Inlet/Outlet power connectors. The power status is clearly displayed on the front panel and web interface.

Console Server Power Control

The Opengear console server integrates tools to monitor and control the widest selection of power devices (including IP-PDUs). When coupled with a console server the IP-PDU solution enables system administrators, network manager and Help Desks to monitor and fully control all the computers, routers, switches and devices in their branch offices and distributed customer sites.

Remote Out-Of-Band Access

A console server can be remotely accessed in-band or out-of-band through an external modem. All these connections are secure using robust encryption and a selection of filtering and logging facilities. So in event a recalcitrant firewall, switch or management server prevents regular broadband access at the remote site, the console server can still be accessed out-of-band ... and through it, the IP-PDU can power cycle the recalcitrant device.

Power Cycle with Hotkey

Opengear console servers provide hotkey support for thousands of PDUs (including the IP-PDU). Imagine yourself having out of band access to a dead communications device that is entirely locked up in a frozen condition ... simply hotkey via SSH or telnet to launch our power menu to check power status, power cycle, turn off or on.
